Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers about licensing, scheduling and billing.

How quickly can you staff a request?+

Most requests are staffed within 24 to 48 hours. Same-day coverage is often possible for established clients; call our dispatch line for urgent needs.

What is the difference between an off-duty police officer and a security guard?+

Off-duty officers are sworn Texas peace officers with full arrest authority and law-enforcement training. Security guards are licensed by the Texas DPS Private Security Bureau (Level II unarmed or Level III armed) and act as agents of the property owner. We help you choose the right fit for your risk, budget and venue requirements.

Are your officers licensed and insured?+

Yes. Every officer is licensed through TCOLE or the Texas DPS Private Security Bureau, background-checked, and covered by our general liability and workers' compensation insurance. Certificates of insurance are available on request.

Is there a minimum shift length?+

Our standard minimum is four hours per officer per shift. Event and holiday minimums may differ; we will confirm before you commit.

Do you provide recurring or long-term coverage?+

Absolutely. Many of our clients run weekly schedules or 24/7 posts. Recurring contracts receive a dedicated account manager and priority staffing.

What areas do you serve?+

We serve communities across Texas. Tell us where the job is and we will confirm availability in your area.

How does billing work?+

You receive a written quote before any shift is scheduled. We bill hourly per officer, with invoices issued weekly or monthly depending on contract length. Deposits may apply for one-time events.

I am a police officer. How do I sign up to work shifts?+

Complete the Officer Sign Up form. We verify your license and agency approval, then add you to our dispatch roster so you can pick up shifts that fit your schedule.
